Today I tried a little different technique. It's called newsprint stamping. The results give your card a vintage look. I used an old paperback book that was falling apart. I stamped the
Flower of the Month Pansy onto the page. The pages are thin like newsprint. You could also use your local newspaper for some interesting backgrounds. (Crossword puzzel anyone?) I colored my pansies with Derwent Inktense Watercolor pencils.
When gluing your newsprint down use Beacon 3 in 1 glue. It dries clear. Other glues might soak through the newsprint and ruin your stamping. Hope you give this a try. Be sure to post it in our customer gallery.
Happy Crafting!

Hi Donna
ReplyDeleteHow unusual but very effective. A beautiful stamp too.
