CASE-ing Christmas CASE-ing Myself

It's time for another CASE-ing Christmas challenge.  This month we are CASE-ing one of my cards.

Inspired by Stamping, Crafty Colonel, Whimsical Banners, Elegant Christmas Sentiments, Christmas Card

The original card was made using non-Christmas stamps for a Christmas card.
This time I used Christmas Stamps to make my CASE.  The sky has some Wink of Stella on it for sparkle.  I used the Stampin'Up! Jingle All the Way Stamps and the Sleigh Ride Edgelits.  The snowflake gems are from the Oriental Trading Company.

Original design by DT member Steph.

Here is my take on Steph's Card.

Donna Nuce Crafty Colonel, For CASE-ing Christmas Blog, Tim Holtz Holiday Joy, Sentiment is Inspired by Stamping
I flipped Steph's card and then got carried away with the Tim Holtz Holiday Joy set and a starry sky technique from Jennifer McGuire.  Star is a Memory Box die.  I know it is hard to see but the trees, deer, star and ground are all shimmer cardstock.  The stars are sprinkles of perfect pearl on Tim Holtz distressed ink background.

CASE-ing Christmas in July Bloghop

Welcome to the CASE-ing Christmas "Christmas in July" bloghop!  We have prizes from our fabulous sponsors.  The challenge is a bit different from what we usually do, but we think you'll like it!  If you arrived here from Asha's blog you are in the right place.  If you would like to start at the beginning of the bloghop head on over to the CASE-ing Christmas blog to begin.  Make sure you complete and comment on the stops in the hop for the most chances to win!

Here's our list of sponsors for the hop!
Christmas Post

Deedee's Digis

boutique

Polkadoodles Ltd

The challenge for is for us to CASE ourselves (a non-Christmas Card to a Christmas Card).  I made two cards and CASE'd myself off of this card:
Crafty Colonel Donna Nuce, Close to My Heart Taste of Summer Stamp Set, for CSSC #5 challenge.
For my first card I used sponsor's images from DeeDee's Digis and MHK designs.  I flipped the card on it's side for this CASE.  I scored the star ornaments and folded them to get a 3d effect and popped the background paper also.  The stars and sentiment are coated with Wink of Stella for a nice sparkle.

My second card uses stamps from Paper Sweeties.  The stars are coated with a Wink of Stella.

CASE-ing Ellen

Welcome to another week at CASE-ing Christmas.  We provide a card for you to CASE (Copy and Share Everywhere) and you get ahead on your Christmas Card stash!   This week we are CASE-ing Ellen.  Here is my take on the CASE!

Instead of a card this time I decided it would be fun to make a pocket scrapbook card.  This is a 4x6 card ready to be inserted into a pocket scrapbook page about Christmas.  It is hard to see but the tree has gold Stickle ornaments on it.  The edges of the card are inked with gold paint.
Here's Ellen's card for comparison.

Check out the other designers cards and join in with us at the CASE-ing Christmas blog.

CASE-ing Christmas Judy

Welcome to another week at CASE-ing Christmas.  We provide a card for you to CASE (Copy and Share Everywhere) and you get ahead on your Christmas Card stash!  This week we are CASE-ing Judy!  Here is my take on the CASE!

Crafty Colonel Donna Nuce for CASE-ing Christmas blog, StampinUp Christmas Bliss and Festive Flurry
I pretty much stuck with the design that Judy used.  I wanted more of a winter theme to the card so I switched to blues and snowflakes.  I still kept the bling!  Here is Judy's card for you to compare.

Here's a close up of that bling and the shiny silver cardstock, heat embossing and washi tape!

Stamps are Stampin'Up! Christmas Bliss and Festive Flurry.

CASEing Christmas - Anita

It's time for another challenge at CASE-ing Christmas.  This week we are CASE-ing Anita.  Here's my card.

Here's Anita's card we are CASE-ing.

I love her triple time stamping she used.  I was also inspired by this pin on Pinterest.  I went with the sparkly theme by adding glitter embossing powder to the sentiment and metallic embossing powder on the stamping.  I hope you join us at CASE-ing Christmas for some fun triple time stamping this week.

If you've never CASEd a card, here's what you need to do:

CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #8

Today at CASE-ing Christmas we are CASE-ing Design Team member Cohenna.

Here's my card for the CASE.

I stayed with the car design but switched out the colors and the theme.  It's fun to do non-traditional Christmas Colors such as pink and blue.  The image is from Cricut Celebrate with a Flourish.  I cut it out of blue, pink, silver and white shimmer cardstock.  The sentiment on the tag is Hero Arts.

Come on over to CASE-ing Christmas and play with us!

NEW Challenge Blog CASE-ing Christmas

My friend Mynn has come up with a new challenge blog.  It is called CASE-ing Christmas.  The challenges are weekly on Fridays.  Here's my card for the very first post.

I stamped and embossed on vellum with silver EP.  I did not realize how hard it would be to photograph.  It looks out of focus but it's not.  Here's a close up to see it better.

I dry embossed the backing cardstock with a swirl embossing folder.
Come over and join us for some fun and some Blog Candy all this month!
