Club Scrap Boardwalk Blog Hop

This month's kit at Club Scrap is titled Boardwalk.  Living in a land-locked state (Colorado) I don't have a lot of trips to the beach to scrapbook.  I looked at the colors in the kit and knew right away they would work great for any of my patriotic or military photos.  Here's a couple of pictures from my retirement ceremony in March of 2008.  (Yes I haven't scrapped them all yet,) I used a Pixels2Pages Star template to start my page.

I did want to try a watercolor beach scene for a card.  Those beach chairs are so adorable I just had to watercolor them using distressed inks.

Be sure to check out the Club Scrap blog for some great inspiration.

Cards in Envy White Wedding

It's time for a new challenge on the Cards in Envy blog.  This time we would like to see your Wedding/Anniversary Cards.  Here's my card.

Crafty Colonel Donna Nuce for Cards in Envy Challenge blog, Stampin'Up Something Lacy, Botanical Builder Framelits, Best of Greetings Wedding Card

I used Stampin'Up Something Lacy (Retired) for the background embossed in White on Tip Top Taupe.  The flowers are the Botanical Builder Framelits, the sentiment is from Stampin'Up Best of Greetings (Retired).

For the challenge all we ask is that your card fits in a standard mailing envelope.  We no longer have a size restriction on the card but it must be a card (no tags allowed).

Come check out what the rest of the design team made for this challenge and then link up your Wedding/Anniversary card on the Cards in Envy blog

Cards in Envy No Girls Allowed Challenge

It's time for another challenge over on the Cards in Envy blog.  This time we want to see your masculine cards.  Here's my card.

Tim Holtz stamps and dies to the rescue when a masculine card is needed.  This compass rose is a little tough to cut out because the points are not symmetrical.  I had to move the thinlits around to get them to match up and cut the right way.  DP is Stampin'Up.

Come check out what the other Design Team members did for their cards and then link up your masculine card on the Cards in  Envy blog!
