Cards in Envy Blue and "Distressed"

Today the challenge on the Cards in Envy blog is for you to use Distress Inks and a lot of the color blue on your cards.  I decided this challenge made me think about blueprints.

CraftyColonel Donna Nuce for Cards in Envy challenge. Tim Holtz EF and Stamp
I used the Tim Holtz Collage embossing folder on the blue cardstock and lightly applied white pigment ink to the raised areas.  The stamp was a Simon Says Stamp exclusive for Stamptember 2017 and I stamped it in Blueprint Sketch distress ink (of course!).

Hop on over to the Cards in Envy blog and checkout the other blue and distress ink cards that the Design Team came up with.  Then link up your cards that are Blue and Distressed.

Cards in Envy "Lets Hear it for the Boys"

The new challenge at the Cards in Envy blog is for masculine cards for boys or men.  I decided to make a Birthday card that I can put a gift card or money in.

CraftyColonel Donna Nuce for Cards in Envy Masculine card challenge. Staimpin Up Pocketful of Sunshine
I used the Stampin'Up! Pocket full of Sunshine stamp with matching dies to make the pocket.  I heat embossed the pocket and sentiment in white EP.  I added the copper brads so it looks like the pocket is reinforced like jean pockets are.  I love the cute little fake money stamp you can put in the pocket so something is still in there when the gift card or real money is removed.

Hop on over to the Cards in Envy blog and check out the other "manly" cards that the design team came up with.  Then post your manly card for us to admire!
