Cards in Envy No Patterned Paper

Time for a new challenge on the Cards in Envy blog.  This time we want you to create cards without any patterned paper.  Of course, solid paper is Okay.  Think out of the box and make your own background.  Here is my handmade background card.

CraftyColonel Donna Nuce for Cards in Envy No pattern paper challenge. Image Club Scrap Steamworks. Sentiment Great Impression.
I created this background by cutting out two of the gear die-cuts and gluing them to card stock.  I then applied foil tape over the top and used a bone folder to show the relief of the gears.  The alcohol Ink was applied over the foil to give it texture and color.  The images are from the Club Scrap Steamworks stamps and hybrid digital kit.  The sentiment is from Great Impressions.

Come check out what the other Design Team members came up with on the Cards in Envy blog.  Then link up your cards made with no patterned paper.

Happy Crafting!
Donna
