Feeling Blessed

The challenge at the Cards in Envy Challenge blog this week is Thankful.  The rules for the Cards in Envy are you must make an A2 card and it can't be more than 1/4 inch thick so it fits in a mailing envelope.

I'm thankful for all the good things the Lord has given me.  A wonderful husband, beautiful (and smart) daughter, my health,  a room full of crafting goodies, living in beautiful Colorado...the list could go on and on.  Here's a thank you card to express my feelings.

Inspired by Stamping, Crafty Colonel, Autumn Blessing, Thank You Card

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up here in the States take time to think about all the good in your life.  What are you thankful for?

Happy Crafting!

  1. Hi Donna
What a lovely card and sentiment. Yes, we should take time now and again to smell the roses, as they say. These days, I'm thankful if I can get out of bed without my back aching lol!
I have a darling hubby, a roof over my head and a full tummy (usually a lot fuller than it should be lol!) so I have a lot more than some and I'm very grateful.
    Thanks for reminding me.
    Take care.

  2. We don't have thanksgiving in Norway, don't know why, I sounds so cozy and meaningful...
You've made a lovely card, the wreath looks beautiful decorated with leaves. I think itsa great stamp, can be used for any season, it's all up to your choice of decorations...

  4. Your card is so beautiful, Donna! And I couldn't have said it any better than you did in terms of how blessed I feel and for the same things, except smart son instead of daughter!

(BTW, I did do the typing and shorthand thing! That turkey plant job was the summer after high school before I went to a one-year "degree of secretarial excellence" degree! I'm thankful for that, too, for sure!!)

    Happy Thanksgiving!! Hugs, Darnell

  5. I just saw your comment on the watercoloring, Donna. Thanks for the tip! I actually have read that before, but forgot completely about it in the moment and ended up liking it anyway. I'll give it another try with the paper wet ... djk

  6. Wow Donna! Your card is gorgeous! I love the colors, texture and design! I am thankful for my family and this year, I am especially thankful that my daughter is responding wonderfully to her radiation treatments! Her vision is almost 100% and she is still in treatments! We really have seen a miracle in her healing! I am also especially thankful that my son is in Kuwait rather than a more dangerous place. So, lots to be thankful for!
Thank you for sharing with us at Cards in Envy! I hope you join us again soon!
    Hugs,
    Ellen
