If you are looking for the OWH Memorial Day Bloghop post please go HERE.
Seongsook has a tutorial on the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog called "The One Sheet Wonder." She has challenged us to make 8 cards with the one sheet wonder tutorial and posting it in the linky on the OWH tutorial page. She is offering blog candy to one lucky poster and it is pretty nice blog candy. You can see what it is on this post.
I used a Pink Paislee sheet from the Butterfly Garden Collection called Dew Drops. Along with craft cardstock and blue grey cardstock. The die cuts are Spellbinders Parisian Accents. Stamps are from Dare2B Artzy. Join us in The One Sheet Wonder Challenge for a chance to win blog candy!

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 4
Day4 was a discussion of re-inkers and how to care for your ink pads. Interesting to learn that storing ink pads upside down is not necessary. The media used is suspended in the pad and doesn't really move up or down depending on how they are stored! We really are getting a lot of technical information in this class. I was only able to do 2 of 3 tags because the third tag was create your own custom inkpad. I didn't have the inkpad material and didn't think it worth my while to get it. I also didn't have any re-inkers for the first tag so "ad-libbed" and pushed my distressed ink pads onto my craft sheet and used a paintbrush to watercolor the tag.
The second tag was misting with re-inkers. I used Perfect Pearls Mists instead and a Pink Paislee misting mask. Here they are.

The Curious Scrapbooker's Field Guide
I am taking The Curious Scrapbooker's Field Guide Class taught by May Flaum at The Big Picture Classes. We are on week four now but I am behind and just now posted week three. The class takes you through many different techniques such as misting, stencils, paint, glitter and so on. Here are my submissions to the gallery for the first three weeks.
Week one was all about misting.
I used Adirondak alcohol inks in Sunshine Yellow and Purple Twilight for the background. Background stamp is Glitz Designs embossed with copper embossing powder. I stenciled over with Tattered Angels Bronze Glimmer mist. The Die Cut is Mistables by Pink Paislee misted with Tattered Angels Sugar Plum Fairy. Foreground stamps are Stampin' Up. Antique brads are from Creative Charms.
Week two was about stamping and distressed inks.
This was the first time I have used by Distressed Ink even though I have had some for a while. I needed this class to show me how! I inked the edges of the card and sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I even inked the ribbon to match! The images were by Heartwarming Vintage. The sentiment (Hero Arts) was stamped with the same distressed ink.
Week three was about paint.
I CASE'd this card design from a card I mad in a class at Archiver's. I used my Adirondak White Paint Dabber on my background stamp (Stampin' Up Belle Toile) and stamped. After it was dry I stamped over it with the script stamp (Glitz Designs). Three of the flowers have Distressed Crackle Paint (Ranger) on them and the other two flowers have Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze on them. The sentiment is stamped (Hero Arts) on vellum and I distressed the edges. I used embroidery thread for the bow.
The cards will be sent to Operation Write Home. I am working on more cards for them.
