Club Scrap Picnic Blog Hop

Welcome to the Club Scrap Picnic Blog Hop.  If you got here from Annette's Page you are in the right place.  If you got here some other way and would like to go back to the beginning of the blog hop go to the Club Scrap Blog here. I subscribe to the Club Scrap Digital Kit, the Art Nouveau Stamp, Club Stamp Kit,  Unmounted Borders and Backgrounds Stamp, and the Embellishment Pack.  The digital kits come at the first of the month so I played with my digital kit first.  I use Panstoria Artisan Software for my digital scrapbooking. This time I used the QDDL (Quick Drop Digital Layouts) along with the digital kit to create my page.

When my Club Stamp kit arrived I created this card from the cute stamps and paper in the kit.

The embellishment kit came with this great lettuce-like ribbon so I used it for the hamburger. I used diamond stickles for the sesame seeds on the hamburger.  I heat embossed the lemonade glass with clear EP to give it a sparkle.  I used black soot stickles for the watermelon seeds and orange marmalade stickles for the cheese on the hamburger.  The pink satin ribbon from the embellishment kit grounds the hamburger.  The sentiment was printed from the digital kit.

Thanks for joining us on the hop!   If you want to go back to the beginning of the blog hop go to the Club Scrap Creates blog here.

NBUS Challenge

One of the funniest blogs on the block is djkardkreations by Darnell J Knauss.  If you are not reading her blog you should be just for the sheer entertainment!  She's hosting a NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) challenge to celebrate 500 followers.  Here's my entry into the challenge.

So I had these two vintage style stamps from Stampin'Up for a while now and this was the perfect time to use them.  The background stamp was a stamp wheel called Shop Around (retired).  I am not enamored with stamp wheels so I unmounted it and used it on a stamp block.  The telephone and sentiment are from the Timeless Talk Stamp Set.  It also has a cute vintage record player and bicycle.  I also used NBUS Really Reasonable Ribbon on the card too.

I hope you take the time to visit Darnell's blog and join in her NBUS Challenge #1.

STAMPlorations

Prize: 5 stamps sets--your choice--from the shop.

Stitchy Bear
Prize: $10 gift voucher to the shop.

Here's my first card highlighting one of our sponsors Inspired By Stamping (IBS).

When I saw the wire basket in the photo I thought of a new Chicken Wire Die from TCW that I had.  That led me to thinking about chickens and from there to French Country.  (I know weird train of thought!)  I used the IBS French Country stamp set to make the diamond background DSP, the chicken and the corners are from the same set.  I used the IBS Fancy Circles set for my sentiment (I love the font in this set!).  The other DP is G45 French Country.  Really Reasonable Ribbon completes the look.

My second card highlights another sponsor Eclectic Anthology.
This card is more of a CAS style than my usual Classic and Elegant style.  I started with an Eclectic Anthology Vintage Background Paper and added a Antique Scientific Wildflower Illustration of a poppy to it.  I colored the poppy using my Panstorian Artisan Software and then printed it and layered it on colored cardstock.  The Thank You Sentiment is Cuttlebug.

So there you have it -- one CAS Card and one Classic and Elegant Card.  That's how we roll at the House of Cards Challenge blogs.

Now get to hoppin'!  Your next stop is Judy's Blog!  If you get lost along the way, you can always head back to the original blog hop post--and don't forget to link up a project at the House of Cards blog after completing the hop for an extra chance to win a mystery prize from one of our fabulous sponsors, too!
