Merry Making Day 5

The last day of the Online Card Classes Merry Making was a focus on watercolor.   I tried the watercolor through a stencil technique.

I used my Zig Clean Color Brush pens through a Clear Scraps stencil.  The sentiment is Tim Holtz Sizzix thinlits.

I am adding this to the Merry Monday challenge.

Cards in Envy Let's Play Dress-up Challenge

There's a new challenge on the Cards in Envy blog.  We are looking for cards that feature Halloween Costumes.  I dug out my Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and dressed them up for Halloween.

Have you ever bought a stamp set just for the sentiment?  This sentiment just cracks me up. The set had the shoes too!  Jump on over to the Cards in Envy blog and check out the rest of the Design Teams costumes!  Then link up your costume card for a chance at bragging rights.

I'm entering this in the Retro Rubber Challenge Boo!  Both the sentiment stamp (SU Tee Hee Hee) and the Crazy Birds are over a year old.

I am also entering it in the Shopping Our Stash Challenge "If the Shoe fits."

I am also entering in the Creative with Stamps Challenge "Shoes."

Merry Making day 4

The Online Card Classes Merry Making class Day 4 focus is on die cutting.  Here's a card that has not stamping at all.  Just die cuts.

CraftyColonel Donna Nuce for OCC Merry Making class, Elizabeth Craft and Memory Box die cuts.
I love the dimension on this card.  I didn't make it a shaker card but I coated the sentiment, snowflakes and snow with Wink of Stella for some shine.

Merry Making Day 3

Day 3 for the Online Card Classes Merry Making class was about using non-holiday stamps for holiday cards.  I pulled out my Club Scrap Woven Strands Celtic style stamps for this card.

Merry Making Day 2

This card for the Online Card Classes Merry Making Class was about paint resist.  I used a metallic paint in the background.  I love the way the metallic acrylic paint shines through all the distress ink and the stamping.  So pretty!

I added a little snow pen to the top of the joy sentiment and some snow ornaments on the trees.

Merry Making Day 1

I signed up for the Online Card Classes Merry Making card class.  One of the techniques on day 1 was a bokeh effect using Distress Oxide inks.  Here's the card I made using that background technique.

I used Stampin'Up's Night in Bethlehem and I am loving the layered city scene that comes with the matching dies.

Cards in Envy Blowin' in the Wind

The Fall Season is upon us!  The new challenge on the Cards in Envy blog is for Autumn cards with leaves on them.  This is my favorite The Aspen trees are turning gold in the mountains. The air is crisp and the skies are brilliant blue. Here's my Autumn card.

It's a little hard to see but the leaves are die cut from metallic gold cardstock.  Head on over to the Cards in Envy blog and check out what the rest of the design team came up with.  Then link up your Autumn cards with us.
