I have this stamp somwhere, but getting around the craft room is hard and I had right next to my desk this Jillibean Soup Hearty Barley wood look paper leftover from this blog post. I also loved that it had little hearts in the wood grain. Here is my version of the card.
I got a little messy with the inking around the edge of the heart but it still turned out cute. The You + Me stamp is from a Stampin'Up Stamp set called Hip Notes. I embossed it with white EP. The banner punch is a FREE item (along with a matching stamp set) in the Sale-A-Bration catalog (starts Jan 25th to March 31st). With any $50 purchase from Stampin'Up you could get the banner punch and stamp set free! Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede from Stampin'Up.
Don't forget there is still another week to enter the Clean & Simple or Classic & Elegant Sketch Challenge over at the House of Cards challenge blog. You can read about on this blog post of mine.
Happy Crafting!
Donna
You've put a lot of effort into this card, sounds like quite a task to get up and down the stairs with your bad leg. I do love this card, the wooden look and clean design is just fab!
ReplyDeleteSending you some (((((hugs))))) so sorry to hear about your accident.
ReplyDeleteLook on the positive side you will have a nice "firm butt" bumping down the stairs.....LOL!!!!!
Certainly has not stopped your creative juices flowing your card is brilliant.
Have as good a day as possible

I'm so sorry about your accident, but I admire your determination to not let it slow you down either! When you think of so many disabled veterans, it tends to keep things in perspective and give you more strength to keep going. I'm glad you made your way down to your craft area, because this is one great card you put together! I love the sponged woodgrain look! Take care now! {hugs}
ReplyDeleteWhat a great masculine love card Donna! I am really sorry to hear you hurt yourself and totally impressed that you're so determined to craft that you're dragging yourself up the stairs with your sheer force. Inspirational to say the least! :)
ReplyDeleteDonna, I'm so sorry you broke your foot and have to struggle getting around. It really does make you appreciate all your working limbs. I hope the healing is happening smoothly inside the boot so you'll be good as new before you know it. Considering the circumstances, you have made a magnificent card! Truly. I love the dimension so much!! Take care and hang in there. Think of how buff your arms are gonna be!! Hugs, Darnell
