Welcome to the Club Scrap Watercolor Christmas blog hop. If you arrived here from Josette's blog you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning of the bloghop go HERE.
For this hop I made a card using the Club Scrap Watercolor Christmas Stamps.
I'll admit I was a little challenged by the bird stamp but if you let it dry after you stamp (I stamped wet on wet paper) then you can go back and add details with a fine brush to give the bird form. I used Sanketi's birds as examples to finish off mine. I used Arches Aquarelle Cold Pressed 140 Lb 3.9" x 9.8" Watercolor Block to stamp the bird. Watercolor Blocks are fabulous because you don't have to tape your paper down. Bird is stamped with Ranger Barn Door Distressed Ink (Distressed inks really are fabulous for watercolor) and details added with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Watercolor pens and a #2 Round Watercolor brush. I used a white gel pen for the bird's eye. I loaded my #2 brush with red and then gold ink and tapped it on my finger to get the sprinkles around the bird.
The card is made with items from the Club Scrap Moroccan Spice Club Stamp kit, Embellishment Pack and Club Scrap Metallic Ink Gold. The joy stamp I used is from the Club Scrap Lock & Key because it was small enough to fit on my tag.
Now head on over to Anne Marie's blog.
Happy Crafting!
