Missing You Cards

Operations Write Home Stars and Stamps Blog is having a Missing You card challenge.  I won't be mailing this card off until later in the year since it has a definite winter theme but it was too cute not to share for the challenge.

I CASE'd this card from the Apron Strings website.  I get their "Smaller Than a Breadbox" kit every month.  I believe this was in the January kit.  I just love plaid paper.  The green pennants were actually Christmas Trees with the trunk cut off.

I made another Missing You card which I blogged about earlier here.  I'll share it one more time since it did not get posted with a linky on another site.

Hope you enjoyed my cards
Happy Crafting!

  1. Both cards are fabulous! Love those penguins and what a clever way to get the sentiment to work with the pennants! I may be borrowing that idea... I also really like the second card's paper and flowers - lovely. Thanks for playing in our Midweek Throwdown Missing You Card Challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps!

  2. Beautiful work on both of these cards. The penguins are so cute and I love the blue and brown color combo in the second one.

  3. Donna, Two fantastic cards. You turned the parts and pieces of your kits into a fabulous card. I'd never have know that what the green pennants were. Your second card is just lovely. I really like all the different types of flowers you display on one card. Like a true bouquet of flowers. Enjoy your weekend.

  4. Both of these cards are great! The penguins are adorable as is the banner. So creative to turn Christmas trees into banners! Your blue and white card is just gorgeous-love the scrollwork!

  5. Lee Ann beat me to saying how creative the trees to banners idea is! They're both really super; no one could open the penguin card and not smile and the flowered card is so beautiful and romantic. And wow, 34 yrs! Thank you for your service. (I know that's becoming a cliche, but I really mean it!)
