VCMP Challenge 6 and 7

I am trying to finish up my challenges for the Virtual Card Making Party .  Challenge six was OWH Sketch 136  with Linda adding the twist of Use Your Punches.  Here is my take on the sketch.

Paper and Butterflies are from K&Company (I had to glossy accent the butterfly with the glitter)
Sentiment is Stampin'Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes
Punch is Word Window from Stampin'Up!

Now for Challenge Seven.  Sybrina K challenged us to make a Christmas Card for a Hero and a Christmas Card for a Hero to send home to a child.  That was a little tough for me as I don't do too many children's cards (mine is grown up and no grandkids yet!).  Here is what I came up with.

I used the Creative Memories Holidazzel Kit from Christmas last year.  It has some sparkly epoxy stickers that really brightened up the cards.  The paper edition is sold out but it is still available as a digital edition for both Storybook Creator 4.0 and other digital programs.  After I finished these cards I mad a bunch more and still have more paper left over to make some more.  OWH really got me crafting this weekend with the VCMP challenges!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Your butterfly card is beautiful and the holiday cards are very cute! I was gone part of this weekend so I am a bit behind but I plan to make cards for the challenge! BTW...check out Cat's Blog on Sunday (I believe) you were a winner!

  2. Donna- your cards are beautiful, but that butterfly one is a STUNNER! Congrats on being a blog candy winner!

  3. All winners in my book. I love your Santa belt and your ornaments are very nice. Your butterflies and the paper on this card are just beautiful.

  4. Hi Donna,

It's always a pleasure to see cards from you. And, these three are wonderful as usual.

I love all the dimension on the butterfly card. And, your Christmas cards are so simple, yet so pretty.

I'm like you, no little ones running around. That's one of the reasons I decided to include kids in my challenge. You definitely hit the nail on the head with that adorable Santa card. Well done!!!

Thanks so much for playing along with our Christmas is for Kids challenge. One hero and one child will be so glad that you did. :)

  5. All great the richness of the sketch card! Congrats on a great kid card! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Lovely cards, Donna! The papers and butterflies on your sketch card are just gorgeous! Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

Thank you so much for your comments. I read and enjoy all of them.
