This month's kit at
Club Scrap is titled
Boardwalk. Living in a land-locked state (Colorado) I don't have a lot of trips to the beach to scrapbook. I looked at the colors in the kit and knew right away they would work great for any of my patriotic or military photos. Here's a couple of pictures from my retirement ceremony in March of 2008. (Yes I haven't scrapped them all yet,) I used a
Pixels2Pages Star template to start my page.
I did want to try a watercolor beach scene for a card. Those beach chairs are so adorable I just had to watercolor them using distressed inks.
You can link up your Boardwalk creations there.
Happy Crafting!

What a fabulous scrapbook page and a terrific way to remember your retirement ceremony. Extra nice that your niece was with you. I love how you placed your journal inside the start. Fit perfect. Great job on the water coloring also. That beach scene is very inviting today we have high temps and 93% humidity.

ReplyDeleteGreat layout, Donna! Lovely to see photos of you and your niece! Your beach scene looks like it was entirely painted by hand!! It should be framed!! Is that a stamp? I hope so because I love it and want it, lol, so please let me know! Thank you very much for the visit and birthday wishes!! Enjoy the 4th!! Hugs, Darnell
