Another Winter Bird

I showcased one of the Winter Bird set (Cardinal) as a Christmas Card.  I wanted to show how well these bird stamps work for other types of cards.  Here is the sweet little Titmouse on a Thank You Card.  The sentiment is from Autumn Blessings.

House of Cards November Challenge

This month at the House of Cards Challenge Blog we have a sketch for you to try.

As I was looking at all my Pinterest pins I noticed that I had pinned a lot of yellow and black cards.  So I dug out some yellow and black DP from Hot Off the Press and one of their Paper Tole designs.

Making Multiples of the Same Card

At Christmas time I like to send out a lot of cards, my family and close friends get a special one of a kind card.  For everyone else I like to find ways easy ways to make a lot of cards.   

  

 Here's a quick way to make multiples of the same Christmas Card.  I used three different stamps sets December 25th Labels, Elegant Christmas Sentiments and Build A Stocking. I used all the snowflakes, a sentiment and and flourish.

1)  Arrange your stamps on your cardstock until you get a design you like.

2) Line your stamp press grid with the edges of your card.  I used the left and lower edge of my card as my reference point.   Press down to stick the stamps to the Stamp Press.  NOTE:  If you don't have a stamp press you could use a large acrylic blog with grids on it.  

3)  Flip the stamp press over and apply your ink to the stamps.  For this card I used embossing ink.

4) Flip the press back over.  Line it up again with the edge of your card and stamp down firmly.  Re-ink stamps and repeat on as many cards as you would like!

The digital kits come at the first of the month so I played with my digital kit first.   I finally got around to scrapping our trip to South Dakota in 2012.  I know, I'm slow, but we had a wedding last year so I got nothing else done.  Here's a page of photos that I forgot to print so I scrapped them in digital mode.  The rest of the pages are in paper mode.  

The card I made with my Club Stamp kit when it arrived is Pinterest inspired.

Inspired By Stamping Build a Stocking

One of the great things about Inspired by Stamping set is that there are matching cut files for the stamp sets.  Sometimes you can have fun with just the cut files.  Here is a card I made with the Build a Stocking cut file. 

I embossed the vellum after I cut it and glued two stockings together and filled it with colorful sequins.

Elegant Christmas Sentiments

Inspired by Stamping Winter Birds Release

Christmas will be here sooner than we think!  Here's an idea for a Seasonal card. 

The Cardinal is such a bright and cheery bird for a Christmas Card.  Especially when you team him up with some green and gold.  I shined him up with some Wink of Stella for a more frosty look.  

There are three other birds in the set and all of them would make wonderful cards!

I had fun playing with the new Inspired by Stamping Diamonds set and the Fancy Circles set.  It was very easy to put them together and make some sunshine!

I started by Stamping the diamond border Fancy Circle.  

I created a mask by cutting a 2 1/8 inch circle out of a sticky note and placed it over my stamped circle.

Using the solid diamond I stamped around the circle lining up the horizontal corners with the edge of the circle.  

Here's what it looks like when the mask is removed. 

Here's my finished card after cutting out the sun and stamping a sentiment using Inspired by Stamping Teeny Tiny Greetings.

Hallo-no-ween Card

I don't really have a use for Halloween cards as there are no small children in our family right now.  So I made this card a Hall-no-ween card.  The design and colors go with the season for a vintage love card.

I die cut the diamond background in black and orange using Inspired by Stamping's Diamond Cover Plate Cut File.  After mounting the black cut over  purple cardstock I interspersed orange cut diamonds in the spaces.  Many Halloween type decorations have a French Country feel to them.  So I used the Inspired by Stamping French Country Stamp set and cut file for the flourishes, keys and large label.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Greetings.
