Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #156

The sketch challenge #156 over at Operation Write Home threw me for a couple of days until I turned it on its side.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I went totally masculine and Tim Holtz distressed on this one.  The image is "Rusty Truck" from Stamper's Best stamped on craft cardstock with Walnut Stain Distressed ink.   It is mounted on Tim Holtz Distress collection core'dinations in Walnut Stain.  The cardstock base is embossed with Tim Holtz Steampunk Embossing Folder with all the gears.  I applied Walnut Stain Distressed ink to bring out the embossing more.  The ribbon is Tim Holtz idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon died with Vintage Photo Distressed ink and Broken China Distressed ink.  (I learned how to do this when I took a class from him at Scrapfest.)  He is an amazing person to take a class from.  You learn so much!  I finished it off with three copper mini brads from Oriental Trading company.  This also qualifies as a Monochromatic Color Scheme for the Operation Boot Camp Design ABCs of Color.  That is a great class by Paula on Color Theory.

Happy Crafting!
